Secure Your Family’s Financial Future NOW

Life has a way of keeping us busy, and sometimes we put things off for ‘now, now’. But when it comes to saying goodbye to a loved one, procrastination can lead to regret, especially when it comes to financial planning. We understand how tough it is to lose someone dear, and planning the final goodbye can be emotionally overwhelming.

At Sanlam, we want to be there for you during this challenging time and help you navigate the costs of arranging a funeral.

Explore Your Options

When it comes to funeral services, there are two primary choices: a traditional funeral, complete with a viewing, ceremony, and burial/cremation, and a cremation service without a traditional burial.

There are special touches that can make the farewell truly memorable:

Taking Care of the Details

We know that administrative tasks can be overwhelming during grief, but you’ll also need to take care of the:

  • Death certificate: Typically costs between R20 and R80 for legal and administrative purposes
  • Obituary or death notice: Ranges from R200 to R1,000 based on publication and length
  • Repatriation costs: Consider if transportation to another location is required

Ensuring Adequate Cover

Don’t procrastinate, review your funeral insurance policies and burial society cover now, not ‘now, now’. Understand what costs the cover will help offset. If you haven't considered funeral cover or need more for your family, Sanlam offers various funeral packages tailored to your needs.

Now is now: Make good choices today for your family's tomorrow.

*Note: The costs provided are general estimates and may vary based on location, specific requirements, and personal preferences. For up-to-date pricing information, it’s advisable to consult a local funeral parlour or crematorium.
