We are a proud sponsor of the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon which welcomes runners of all fitness levels every spring. Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, we had to do things a bit differently in 2020 and for the first time ever the race took place virtually – something that has never been seen in any major international marathon event.
Utilising cutting-edge technology, we gave our worldwide running family the opportunity to enjoy a virtual race experience from any corner of the world through an app. Runners from as far as Australia, New Zealand and East Asia participated, and according to Barry van Blerk, Sanlam Cape Town Marathon General Manager, the runners’ feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
All you need to cross the finish line.
Sporting greats drive our vision.
