Employee benefits are complex, and the information and processes can be experienced as obscure. At Sanlam Corporate, we recognise the challenge this poses to advisers when dealing with our members.

The purpose of this information centre is to empower you as the adviser with the information you need to provide your clients (our members) with the professional service they deserve and you pride yourself in delivering.

Accreditation

Our advisers are required to complete product specific training on our selection of employee benefits. The Sanlam eLearning online tool provides the relevant study material and assessments to ensure that every adviser meets our competency requirements through self-learning.

New Business Process and Implementation

When offering a Sanlam product to a new member, it is important to follow our new business and implementation protocols. Below, you’ll find more information on how the quotation process works for each of our products, as well as instructions on how to implement these products:

Annual Review Process

Sanlam Corporate members are eligible to review their income on selected funds annually. As an adviser, it’s important that you fulfil your duties pertaining to your client’s needs. To find out about the different review processes for each of our products, and to establish what’s required from you as adviser, please have a look at the listed documents:

Payment of Commission and Advice Fees

The services to be provided by you as adviser, along with the consulting fees payable, should be established upfront between you and the fund member.

Adviser fees needs to be negotiated between the adviser and the member at inception date. For more specific details on commission and advice fees per product, see the documents below:

Death Claims Process

In the unfortunate event that one of your fund members pass away, you as adviser are required to follow certain steps to complete the death claim accurately, and to gather the necessary information and documentation, before it is sent to Sanlam for review.
