Takalani Sesame, a South African version of the internationally acclaimed Sesame Street, talks to children between the ages of four and eight. It’s a truly South African television, radio, digital and community outreach programme, which supports the foundation phase of our national primary school curriculum. Sanlam is a proud sponsor of this initiative, which promotes literacy, numeracy, basic life skills and HIV/Aids education, incorporating all of South Africa’s 11 official languages.

Mainly based on South Africa’s draft national curriculum framework for children aged four to eight, the ECD Hub is on track to become the early childhood development resource of choice in South Africa and across southern Africa.
