As part of Sanlam Premium Rewards, members will gain access to a healthcare support service providing unlimited multilingual telephonic access to experienced, qualified health professionals, 24 hours a day.

Service benefits:

  • Medical advice: 24-hour telephonic emergency medical advice, including assessment of symptoms, trauma debriefing, counselling for chronic ailments and referral to the most appropriate healthcare professionals, where necessary
  • Physical health matters: providing practical guidance on self-care, assistance with compliance to existing medication and treatment, and supporting members with lifestyle choices to maintain their health
  • Crisis support centre: This service will include support on the COVID-19 pandemic. Members will be risk-screened to determine their risk for COVID-19 and associated psychosocial and other lifestyle risks and referred for further medical screening, where necessary. Members diagnosed with the Coronavirus will be given specific assistance with self-care while ill.
  • Psychosocial matters: assistance with social and emotional issues such as loneliness, stress and anxiety or depression. Members will receive specific support for their relationship and personal pressures, which may be amplified by the COVID-19 lockdown, self-quarantine and social distancing.
  • Trauma: for members who have experienced a traumatic incident such as abuse or loss. This could be amplified during the lockdown period. We will contain the traumatic experiences through debriefing and scheduling follow-up tele-counselling sessions where required.

Access to an independent network of emergency medical personnel in Kenya. In the event of a medical emergency, members have access to a 24-hour contact centre to arrange emergency medical assistance and transportation.

  • Sanlam Life Insurance policyholders qualify for Sanlam Premium Rewards Wellness benefits every month, upon inception and as long as their policy remains active
  • Discount vouchers are earned as rewards for ongoing monthly premium payments

  • Sanlam Premium Rewards discount vouchers are sent via SMS to qualifying policyholders, every month within 48 hours of successful premium payment. Vouchers are redeemed online or in-store at the selected discount partner outlet.

Sanlam Premium Rewards benefits are activated upon policy inception, or for existing policyholders, on the date of the programme launch. Active policyholders will receive their first monthly reward within 48 hours of the first successful premium collection.*

Discount vouchers are redeemed online or in-store at participating partner outlets. Alternatively, contact the rewards partner for redemption assistance.

Discount vouchers are issued to policyholders monthly, via SMS, within 48 hours of successful premium collection.*

*Please note that reward issue timelines may vary for corporate policy members.

Monthly discount vouchers are valid for a period of 30 days from date of issue. Should a voucher not be redeemed at any respective partner outlet within this period, the voucher will expire and the reward will be forfeited.

Discount rewards are issued monthly upon successful premium payment. Should you miss a payment, you will forfeit your reward for that month. Sanlam Premium Rewards Wellness benefits remain in force for as long as your policy is active. Should your policy lapse (refer to policy document), your wellness benefit access will expire.

Upon lapse of any policy, access to Sanlam Premium Rewards benefits will be revoked and rewards will no longer be available.
