We believe in the power of collaboration, celebrating our differences and building on our collective strength. We constantly encourage staff interaction and team building at all levels and across all Clusters.
Externally, community involvement, volunteerism and giving beyond ourselves all play an essential role in
creating our WealthsmithsTM culture.
The Sanlam Women’s Network aims to create opportunities for female employees to support each other to grow and on a professional and personal level, through a variety of forums, programmes and initiatives. In addition, the Network works with a number of organisations which are focused on the development and care of girls and children.
The Sanlam Young Professionals Forum is a platform for staff 35 years of age and under to network around topics of mutual interest. The forum seeks to connect young professionals within the Group by creating opportunities and facilitating synergies across the business clusters.
The Sanlam Foundation –invests in a number of projects aimed at providing educational support opportunities for young people in South Africa and Sanlam employees are encouraged to get involved. These projects vary from high school mentoring and coaching and teaching children to save, to tertiary lecturing and team coaching.
We are driven by a sincere desire to make a positive difference and to create a world worth living in. This starts with us caring for our environment. We have a specific focus on making a difference in the areas of water, waste and electricity management.
