Sanlam Structured Solutions consists of three business units i.e. Annuities, Guaranteed Investments and Derivative Structuring.

The Annuities team develop and implement retirement products for groups and individuals where Sanlam guarantees to pay a current pension for the rest of a pensioner’s lifetime and cannot be negatively impacted by a decline in interest rates and financial markets. Sanlam further guarantees that future bonuses will never be negative and once added to a pension can never be taken away.

 

The Guaranteed Investments team aims to provide active retirement fund members with competitive, inflation-beating returns without the roller-coaster ride associated with market-linked portfolios. This is done through the smoothing and guarantees provided in the products.

The Derivative Structuring team offers derivative-based skills to institutional clients to enhance returns on portfolios and to improve the product offering to clients, such as derivative, tax and legal-based structured products.
