The Omaha World Herald recounts the story of two people who did not invest with Warren early on:
In the 1960’s Harry Hanon (the husband of Buffett’s then secretary, Elizabeth) inherited ±$30,000. Buffett offered him to join the investment partnership he was running. “No thanks”, said Harry and put the money into what later transpired to be a pyramid scheme (and lost all his savings).
