Sanlam Healthcare Distribution Services (SHDS) was established to  underpin the growth of  Sanlam Healthcare Management – a medical scheme administrator recognised by the South African Council for Medical Schemes and wholly owned by Sanlam Life – for all schemes under their administration, and in particular to ensure that Bestmed occupies its rightful place as a dominant player in the healthcare industry. SHDS is responsible for the promotion and marketing of Bestmed products to clients through accredited healthcare advisers.
