Sanlam Awards for Community Press 2009

The annual Sanlam Awards for Community Press competition aims to encourage excellence and reward meritorious work in community journalism. Full-time editors, competition journalists and photographers from all community newspapers in South Africa and Namibia that aren’t published more than twice a week, qualify for the awards.

The Forum of Community Journalists (FCJ) runs the competition, under the auspices of the Print Media of South Africa (PMSA).

The current competition covers the 12 months from 1 June 2008 to 31 May 2009.

The FCJ reserves the right to change the conditions, rules, sections and prize money of future competitions at its discretion.

Closing date

The enclosing date for the 2009 competition is 3 July 2009.
