You should keep copies of the following documents with the copy of your will:

• Identity document and/or passport

• Antenuptial contract and marriage certificate

• Full names and date of death of predeceased spouse(s), if any, and, if available, at which Master’s office estate has been reported and reference number of estate.

• Title deeds of properties/timeshare

• Savings book, credit card and other banking details

• Important contracts such as rental contracts, financing contracts, policy contracts, buy/sell contracts and partner contracts

• Share certificates, proof of unit trust and other investments

• Inter vivos trust deeds and the Master of the Supreme Court's appointment of trustees

• Firearm licences

• Motor-vehicle registration certificates

• Bond deeds, proof of debt owing to the testator

• Short-term insurance details

• Receipts for items in safe storage

• Divorce order and divorce agreement
