SEB SymposuimFor the past 28 years, Sanlam Employee Benefits have hosted an annual employee benefits symposia focussing on topical issues such as industry trends, legislation, risk and retirement benefits. These topics are based on research results from the annual SEB employee benefits survey that serves as an essential tool for all stakeholders in the management of retirement funds and constitutes an authentic South African benchmark for all funds in their benefit provision. The findings are presented nationally and in the context of the industry’s long-term performance, and distilled into insights about pertinent issues affecting the employee benefits industry in the future. These findings are valued by a broad range of industry stakeholders in their decision-making process, as well as policymakers. The National Treasury (www.treasury.gov.za) is an ardent user of this data and it was used extensively in the development and scoping of the current social security and retirement reform programme.
