Employment Equity Forum
This forum, comprising eight staff members elected by their colleagues, is tasked with supporting and addressing our business- and human resources strategy. Their initiative is to support the HR function to attract and retain a competent, diverse workforce and to ensure compliance with the Employment Equity Act. Members of the forum support Glacier in the quest to become a truly South African company and to achieve our strategic business objectives.
We also implement a broad-based black economic empowerment (BBBEE) policy. We have aligned ourselves with the DTI Codes of Good Practice (Guidelines on employment equity) and focus on setting targets for representation at board-, senior- and junior management levels, as well as skills development, ownership and procurement.
