Risk Forum

The Risk Forum assists the board in fulfilling its responsibility with regard to financial matters and risk management activities. The forum comprises two financially experienced members. The chief executive, financial director, executive committee, chief audit executive, risk manager, compliance officer and external audit partners also attend the forum meetings, which are held at least four times a year. Our auditors, executive committee and other employees of Glacier Financial Holdings (Pty) Ltd are, however, not part of the Risk Forum.

The Forum subscribes to Sanlam Life's Audit and Risk Committee's charter, which is reviewed annually by the board to ensure that it is aligned with King II and international best practice.

Law: access to information

The Promotion of Access to Information Act, No 2 of 2000, gives persons the right to access information held by a private body (e.g. Glacier), to exercise or protect any rights. As required by the Act, we've compiled a manual to assist persons to access information. The manual sets out the procedures to be followed when requesting access to records to which they are entitled from Glacier, in a quick, easy and accessible manner. You also need to refer to the prescribed Information Access request form and the fees payable when requesting access to records.
