Benefit Claims

This is a difficult time and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to claim. The Benefit Claim Guide (ENG / AFR) will guide you through the process of a claim for any of the following benefits.

Disability benefit
Cover in the event of total, permanent and continuous disability to fulfil the occupational demands of the regular and/or alternative occupation.
Physical impairment benefitCover for specific bodily losses, as a result of an accident or illness.
Income Protector/Overhead Expenses Protector benefitCover in the event of loss of income due to injury or illness, for regular occupation and/or the overhead expenses of a business.
Sickness benefit
Cover in the event of sick leave of 7 days and longer.
Accidental Disability benefitCover in the event of total, permanent and continuous disability to fulfil the occupational demands of the regular occupation, as a result of an accident.


Step 1: Get the correct claim form

  • Identify which benefit you are claiming for (from the table above)
  • Each benefit has a different claim form with its own form number to identify it
  • Choose the claim form for the specific benefit from the list below

Step 2: Fill in the claim form and gather the documents

  • Update your contact details to make sure that we can keep you informed on the claim progress
  • Attach all relevant documents as indicated in the claim form, including copies of all medical information that you have



Step 3: Send completed documents to Sanlam

  • Send the documents to Sanlam using any of the contact details below.



What happens next?
  • Sanlam will review the documents
  • We will request any additional information that we need from you
  • The claim is assessed and Sanlam makes a decision
  • We will Inform you of the outcome
