Vacation Programme

We currently offer a 4 week paid vacation work programme within various areas of our business where students will perform a real job within one particular business and participate within various workshops and presentations during this period. The programme is open to all full time students who are currently in their Honours year of study at a Commerce faculty.

The programme is designed to provide:

  • Active participation in a real project within a business
  • An opportunity to apply your university skills to a practical real work situation
  • Useful skills for future employment
  • Firsthand experience of a finance/investments work environment

Treasury Officer

Location

Description of the position
Key responsibilities:

  • Issue daily investment, withdrawal and switch instructions to Asset Managers
  • Ensure that daily instructions to Asset Managers are processed accurately and within the required time frames
  • Issue daily payment instructions to Fund Accounting
  • Process and issue rebalancing instructions from Trustees, Consultants and Multi-Managers
  • Assist Team members, Fund Accountants, Asset Managers and Auditors with resolving of trade and cash flow queries
  • Weekly reconciliation of all investment portfolio transactions
  • Ensure all Service Level Agreements are met

Location

Description of the position
Primary responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day activities of all Client Contact Centre Specialist across all regions and campuses
  • Formulate and implement standardized Contact Centre processes, policies and procedures across all regions and campuses
  • Develop high performing teams through performance management and informal coaching
  • Set targets and take accountability for the monitoring and achievement of performance objectives as indicated in Service Level Agreements across all regions and campuses
  • Quality checks and assurance on telephonic conversations of Client Contact Service Specialists to ensure high level of professionalism
  • Identify, assist with development and implementation of enhancements to the functionalities of the telephony system.
  • Compile and submit reports
  • Nurture and build strong relationships with clients
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with other internal departments in order to resolve queries

  • Supervision and management of positions allocated (3 to 4 reconciliation officers) to report to the specific Financial Accountant position

  • Daily printing and distribution of audit trials for all payments from the previous working day to the relevant parties

  • Daily accurate issuing of cheques as per cheque requisitions

  • Meet all Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Deliver on agreed deadlines
