Sanlam South African Men's Amateur Golf Championship

Dating back to 1892, the South African Men’s Amateur Golf Championship is a premier event on the South African Golf Association calendar. The championship, which has offered many high profile golfers their first step into professional golf, starts with a 36-hole qualifier, in which 168 players compete. On conclusion of the qualifier, the 64 leading players go into a match play competition to determine the champion. This year’s championship takes place at the Vaal de Grace Golf Club from 9 to 14 April 2011.
