Sanlam South African Women’s Amateur Championship

Sanlam has been the title sponsor of the Sanlam South African Women’s Amateur Championship since 2004. The championship is Women’s Golf South Africa’s premier event and through sponsoring it, Sanlam has helped to enhance the image of women’s golf and has contributed to the significant growth of the sport over recent years.

The 2011 championship is taking place at the Rustenburg Golf Club from 9 to 14 April 2011 and entries are open to all amateur golfers affiliated with Women’s Golf South Africa or any governing body recognised by Women’s Golf South Africa (this includes unions from countries other than South Africa).

Who can take part?
The handicap limit for the championship is 18 and this year we hope to use a new scoring programme which will pull entrants’ names from the Handicaps Network Africa database. Therefore, entrants are asked to include their Women’s Golf South Africa or South African Golf Association handicap card number on entry forms.
