At Sanlam, we believe that our employees are our single most valued resource. It’s therefore vital that we attract, recruit and retain the right people with the right skills, at the right time.
We have a defined set of criteria for the selection and recruitment of our employees. Our general principle is that all positions must first be advertised internally. If we haven’t been able to find suitable candidates from within our own ranks, we’ll subsequently advertise externally. (We make exceptions to this only where we’ve got succession planning initiatives in place.)

Please note that Sanlam doesn’t offer university bursaries in any discipline – we’re currently phasing out our existing system. However, we’re committed to education in the broader community through a number of initiatives other than bursaries and study loans.
