Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is celebrated internationally in September every year. In our latest edition of the Simeka Healthcare Insight, we provide some awareness with regards to symptoms, what you should do if you suspect your child has cancer, and where to get support during such a difficult time. Unfortunately, it is estimated that half of the children with cancer in South Africa are never diagnosed due to a lack of knowledge or awareness, and only between 800 to 1,000 South African children are diagnosed annually.
